A proud New Jersey native, Nancy Thomas Burton opened In The Garden in 2005 to serve the floral and garden needs of her hometown of Highlands. After damage from Hurricane Sandy closed her lovely florist studio, Nancy teamed up with two very talented women that she has had the pleasure of working with for many years. Jenna Morris and Eileen Ricco, (also Highlands residents), joined the ownership ranks at, In The Garden. Together the three redesigned the studio space and will continue to build a stronger, smarter, more successful business. Their lifelong love of flowers, plants, and gardening is evident the moment you enter the studio and gardens.
With over fifteen years of experience in floral arranging, interior plants, and garden design and maintenance , In the Garden is the perfect place to turn your floral and botanical dreams into reality. They specialize in wedding and event design , creating colorful containers of annuals and tropical, and designing and caring for gardens of all sizes and styles.
Nancy’s education from the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) School of Professional Horticulture gives you the benefit of a professionally trained, creative, and hard-working horticulturist. Jenna’s natural talent and eye for design always far surpasses her clients expectations. Eileen is currently studying Garden Design at NYBG, this new endeavor will be a perfect addition to Eileen’s already fantastic gardening talent and impeccable work ethic.
